Abuse comes in so many different ways that can do some serious damage. Some malicious actions are possible with a technology or in-person attack. Abusers tend to be more self-centered and could care less about the needs of victims and survivors.


Here are some examples to be aware of as a preventative measure:




Online



  • Cyberbullying

  • Change passwords

  • Cut Wi-Fi

  • Steal accounts of all sorts

  • Identity Theft

  • Force victims into illegal work

  • Impersonate authorities

  • Steal data from computers

  • Plagiarism

  • Phishing

  • Catfishing

  • Install viruses and malware into digital hardware

  • Sexual Violence

  • Human Trafficking

  • Bully
