An Uplifting Moment

A gospel song came to mind early this morning when I found something that was inside of my trunk when everything was stolen from me from my vehicle that I haven’t seen in over a year. It’s the same song that came on when I played music loudly in my car while driving back home following Jon.

“...for I shall recover it ALL!”

The object was made by Jon with his own adjustments to the design for my headphones holder. He gave it to me while I was commuting to work in Seattle at PBI because I love listening to music while walking to the train station and the buses. It was helpful and I didn’t want to lose it so I just kept it inside of my backpack. Since I got a new phone that required bluetooth headphones and my other headphones kept getting stolen, I then kept the holder at home instead.

After catastrophes happened to me in Oregon, I wasn’t sure that I would ever see my things again. But after surviving all of the gas stations getting back to Washington State, I am still hopeful that I will get my things back one way or another while still praying that I at least get most of my originals for the first time in my life compared to beforehand. My childhood treasures have been stolen so much that I’ve kept holding onto what I had and would go back to them during emergencies. I no longer have that, but there’s that tiny bit of hope that keeps getting added onto what I do have now that I’m so grateful for.
