A quick glance at information on stalking.

Stalking can be overlooked if one is not observant and is very dangerous as it is a form of abuse. It is a repeated harassment that involves following in-person, monitoring online, catfishing, and much more. Stalkers like to intimidate their victims and try to put their victims in a state of fear in which they can then manipulate them or kidnap them. It can be referred to outside or inside of a residence, workplace, or anywhere else.
From my experience, I have been stalked by many different types of people including former friends. Hence why they are considered former now instead of current friends, but I'm still trying to meet new people to find some good ones. There's a long list of people that go on this one, but that will be for another article. Extreme cyberbullying is very common and I've had people stalk me inside video games for many years. I've been followed to and from work while people whistled and yelled at me in various places. My house had been surrounded in the later hours in the middle of the night by people trying to break in through the doors. I've had random phone calls from places I have never even heard of that keep trying to call me. In places that I usually go to, there are random people approaching me with sexual remarks, insults, or even racism. My email inbox has been flooded with spam emails that include phishing scams trying to extract my personal identification information. Random people have been trying to chat with me through my social media platforms. There's such an invasion of privacy, that there are people spying on my conversations trying to figure out who I'm reporting to so they can try to bully them as well. It's a lot to deal with, but my strength is limitless.
The following facts listed are from the nonprofit organization called SPARC - Stalking Prevention Awareness and Resource Center.
“More than twice as many victims are stalked with technology than without.”
“Stalkers use many tactics, including: o Making unwanted phone calls. o Approaching the victim or showing up in places when the victim does not want them to. o Following and watching the victim. o Sending unwanted texts, photos, emails, and messages through social media. o Sending unwanted gifts. o Using technology to monitor, track, and/or spy on the victim.”
“Weapons are used to harm or threaten victims in 1 out of 5 cases.”
“Stalking is a crime under the laws of the 50 states, District of Columbia, U.S. Territories, and Federal government.”
“More than 1/2 of states classify stalking as a felony upon the second or subsequent offense, or when the crime involves aggravating factors.”
