When visiting the store and trying to purchase bath products, one may get overwhelmed with the massive selection of all types of products. In this article, items usable while in the shower will be the focus. Let's keep it simple. After all, this is where the spa part is concentrated on. The warm water splashing against your skin, the steam helping you inhale deeply, and the effects of the soap transforming your skin into silk. Aaaaahhhh!!! It is time to relax and wind down. Here are five picks to choose from without breaking the bank and not losing out on the good feels.
1. Dove Body Wash - Relaxing

Dove has been around for a long time and with good reason. Their soft and thickened hydrating formula leaves your skin smooth immediately. You can choose between two different size bottles. Personally, I chose the size shown in the picture, which is the largest pump bottle priced at around $10 for 34 oz. It's easy to use and I can splurge on a little extra soap if I'd like to. A good one to use for a night shower at the end of a long day is their Relaxing bottle scented with Lavender Oil & Chamomile. Your stress level goes down the minute your nose catches this scent from the bottle. There's a strong lavender fragrance that's put to a mild level with the chamomile. And the microbiome serum is lavender purple in color too. Ooh la la!
2. Burt's Bees Facial Cleanser

There are some cleansers that are too abrasive that can irritate the skin and there are some that may leave you with the feeling of wondering if you had used it at all because it didn't seem to do anything. This Deep Cleansing Cream by Burt's Bees doesn't fall into either one of those categories. You can really feel this cream on your face as willow bark works into your pores leaving you refreshed as it washes off. Although it may be surprising during the first use, it's not overwhelming since it does have chamomile. Another goody with this soothing herb as one of its main ingredients. For $7.99, this 6 oz. bottle will go a long way as only a small dapple, the size of a dime is necessary. Want a bit more extra? Go for a quarter size if you want to place it along your neck too. Your skin's pores will thank you.
3. Shampoo Hair Scalp Massager

This plastic hair scalp massager may not look like much, but it works wonders when put to use. After lathering your hair with a layer of shampoo, place your palm on the rounded top while holding onto the handle in between your fingers while combing throughout your scalp. The long ends are rounded, helping the massager easily comb through long hair without having to apply much pressure to reap the benefits. The shampoo will lather up even more. You can grab this under-shined gem from the Dollar Tree for $1.25.
4. Cantu Hair Coconut Cream

Open a bottle of this Cantu Shea Butter Hair Cream and you'll think you've just arrived at a tropical beach. The coconut scent is divine and the consistency of this cream is a light and fluffy whipped formula that quickly absorbs into your hair. There are no sulfate, parabens, or mineral oil making it a more suitable choice for repairing damaged hair. You can apply this onto dried, split ends as a leave-in conditioner. This can be applied to wet or dry hair. I use this cream also as a hair detangler while my hair is wet and it keeps my curls in rich tight ringlets all day long. Snag this little bottle for $5.99 at Target.
5. Big-Tooth Hair Comb

Ever seen the movie scene from The Little Mermaid where Ariel is in her treasure cave brushing her hair with a fork? This comb reminds me of that each time I use it. It's much larger but still gets the job done. This plastic hair comb is gentle on your hair and strong enough to pass through any hair type. While some places may price this size between $5 - $20, you can find one of three colors (green, blue, or pink) at the Dollar Tree for $1.25! Who wouldn't want to try out the Mermaid experience?
As you can see, it doesn't take much dinero to achieve the spa feel from your own shower. The next time you're near the beauty aisle at the store and wonder, "Should I treat myself today,"
be sure to give yourself an answer of, "Yes please." Anytime is always the right time to invest in our relaxation. Cheers to self-care.
Happy Shopping!
