Problem

Ever have the issue of losing a traffic ticket you had just received from a law enforcement officer or discovering that it had been stolen?

Don't fret. I just went through this and want to share with you some good news...

You are able to get another one for free without a fee, but you will have to use up some more of your time and gasoline in order to get a replacement. This is from the advice of a reliable Legal Attorney.

Solution

Go to the courthouse in person and request a copy that can be printed out by the court clerk. There is also the option of handling it right then and there where you can submit it directly to the hands of the clerk with your response and be done with it within the 30-day deadline (depending on your State). At this time, you will also receive your court date immediately instead of waiting for it later on in the mail. This puts more power within your hands to have your legal matters handled in a much more trustworthy process rather than relying on methods that one cannot control.

If transportation is an issue, call the courthouse as soon as possible. Their schedule for phone calls can be shorter than their business hours. Be wary of their lunchtime schedule as well. For example, my local city Municipal Courthouse does not answer phone calls or have anyone available at their window in person between 12 and 1 pm. Their schedule should be found on their website and hours mentioned via phone by automated voicemail messaging at the time they are supposed to be answering phone calls.

Be proactive and act immediately. This is when time is of the essence. This is also an Anti-Human Trafficking tip that will help keep you out of a Trafficker's grasp along with any trouble that comes along with it.

Hope this helps.
