We all know that birds are usually caged in unless they are flying freely throughout the wild. When it comes to humans, not so much. It’s weird to notice, but over the years, females are usually the ones being shown in or around cages in music videos. While browsing through YouTube for some of my favorite songs, these are some that I found caged in the typical style barred fortress or the pseudo-cage. Some look disturbing, while others look oversexualized. Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but women are not animals. They should not be in cages, the same goes for men.

Females are humans and should be respected. To have one trapped or caged is sending a message that she is an animal that needs to be controlled or tamed. To be controlled means that there is no freedom involved. It sends a contradictory message of stating that women are free, but somehow still end up getting trapped especially for no reason. This doesn’t mean that it accidentally occurs either nor does it mean that it is all fake while it is featured in a music video. These women tend to share true life stories held within each of their music lyrics and are not afraid to be outspoken.

Unfortunate events can occur to innocent people. In these cases, they should be set FREE as soon as possible. This is synonymous with the complex and corrupt system of imprisonment. If nothing had been done that is wrong or against the law, then why are there so many innocent people sent to a place to be boxed into loneliness? Of course, there are people who belong in there, but it sure isn't for the ones who spend most of their time doing good for themselves as well as for others. To be wrongfully accused is to be trapped between bars or barbed wires of shame that don't belong to that specific person. If this ever occurs, do stand up for yourself.
