A trafficker inserts into a victim's life by trying to fulfill a need. The focus is usually material as the main goal is to put your body as a trade for money and/or materials. If there isn't a need, traffickers try to make one by:
gifting frequently
stealing
putting the victim into situations to deplete funds, such as overcharging or not giving a refund
fraud
scams
identity theft
giving fake work
drugging or causing an illness
threatening/harming a loved one or pet
force homelessness
denying access to resources
and more.
These actions are performed by the traffickers themselves or other people that they pay/recruit on their behalf to do their dirty work. Be careful. This can happen anywhere, at anytime, by anyone. #KnowtheSigns #helpstophumantrafficking
