A couple of examples of resource findings from the South Hill Pierce County Library System.

While at the library, I had found their resources section updated with more bookmarks, flyers, and cards. Here are a couple of bookmarks that may be useful in other areas in and outside of the library along with my feedback while briefly evaluating the information listed and their online locations.

I have called some of these lines personally and have received little to no assistance in moving forward along the helpline to receiving adequate and efficient assistance to get out of critically abusive situations. So I'm excited to see how that goes soon. This is not to discourage you from calling because you may find a person who doesn't follow others and really does help people. There will be reviews posted for the hotlines that I did call soon so everyone can read about my experiences over the past 7 years. There is a new number that I haven't tried yet though. If you have found success, feel free to share your experience below in the comments section.

While I haven't checked out all of these books, they are still reliable in acquiring essential information when going back to the basics and learning about these subjects. There will be more information on the specifics of these titles soon.

The link the LinkedIn is not listed on the bookmark. They do offer certification courses online with a monthly fee. I found this out from having an account on their website. It is free.
NorthStar Digital Literacy is new to me so I am unsure of it. A learner account is needed to use this tool. Here is the direct link to this section.
I found the Pronunciator Link in the Tools for Students section, however while clicking it, the website took me to the Catalog page. So I'm unsure of what is going on with this part, but I'm giving feedback to the library this week so they are aware of this issue.
Universal Class is another new mention that I haven't heard of before. Registration is necessary for access.

There are different roads to certifications on the website. Over the past few years and during Covid, I tried utilizing times while in between the multiple jobs that I was working to take the certification courses offered from the library throughout the many branches including the Administration building as well where the tests are taken in person. Due to time conflicts, money issues, and the courses being discontinued, I didn't get to complete these certification courses. They are now shown in the link below. Not sure if they are exactly the same as the classes offered previously. This seems like it may be a fresh start not just for me, but also for you as well.
If the Pierce County Library is not your local library, that is okay. This information can help you obtain resources at your local library. Feel free to share this article with a staff member and they can assist you in finding related sources and materials. Remember that #KnowledgeIsPower. There is no such thing as a stupid question.
