Another look at the meaning of rape from the other perspective using a process of elimination.

Rape is sexual assault, a nonconsensual act and forced act of sexual intercourse given in any way taken out on another individual or group of people that are usually women. It is a form of sexual violence. There are many places of reference that will tell you what rape is. This article is to inform you of what sexual assault does not entail. It will show you the excuses used by perpetrators to justify their rapist actions and show you that it’s not what they say. It still means the same. Rather than trying to figure out what is all included within the definition, let’s look at what is definitely not included in the definition in order to have a greater understanding of this broad concept.
Rape is…
Not a business.
Not a request for sex.
Not a consensual act.
Not an invitation.
Not an open door.
Not a pleasing experience.
Not a party.
Not a yes or yeah or maybe.
Not a feel-good position.
Not a contribution.
Not an exchange.
Not a transaction.
Not a positive feeling.
Not a two-way street.
Not one method.
Not only done by men.
Not an income.
Not a trade for materials.
Not joy.
Not happiness.
Not a way to cheer someone up.
Not asked for.
Not justifiable.
Not the Devil.
Not someone else's fault who was not there.
Not the victim's fault.
Not caused by what the victim wears.
Not initiated by a victim's makeup.
Not an entitlement.
Not a relationship.
Not a road to power.
Not based on how the woman portrays herself.
Not LOVE.
Not only committed outside.
Not only done by strangers.
Not forbidden sex.
Not based on the number of articles of clothing worn at the time.
Not rare.
Not an excuse for men's arousal.
Not based on attraction.
Not the right thing to do. PERIOD.
This illegal, most violent act has serious consequences and can be detrimental for victims with lifelong lasting negative effects. It is one of the most invasive experiences an individual can have regardless of the length of time it extends to. It can be done at any time, any place, and to anyone. It is a selfish practice that can escalate involving other versions of abuse in combination with it. It can be a hate crime and obsession at the same time.
It is also part of sex trafficking. Human Traffickers manipulate, coerce, or force individuals or groups of people into sexual acts that are sold commercially in-person and/or online. The sex industry can range from strip clubs to pornographic movie recordings. Although some offenders may have a pattern that resorts to targeting particular characteristics, this crime does not discriminate. It has no boundaries.
